Every one of my 260 designs has its origins in my reaction to the famine of the 1970s in Ethiopia, the dispersion of people from their original homeland and the traumatic re-direction of a life that should have been very different.
For over 100 years my family had worked for the unity of the country but were forced into prison, death and exile. The images are universal and free for interpretation intended to give joy to my fellow human beings.
